Trip #3: Rock Springs Run

Our Florida kayaking trip started at King's Landing and progressed downstream through Rock Springs Run ending at the Wekiwa Springs Marina. Florida Kayaking trips are great for observing wildlife. We saw all types of wildlife including Otters, Turtles, Raccoons and Egrets. An Alligator was also seen by one of our more experienced paddlers.. although he did not flip his kayak this time ;)

The river twists and turns quite often as you wind your kayak downstream. In addition to the variety of wildlife seen on Rock Springs Run, we passed thorough different habitats including swamps and marshes. Check out the Rock Springs Run kayaking journal entry and Florida kayaking photos! Click here for a map of the Rock Springs Run area. For your next Florida kayaking trip we recomend Rock Springs Run if you at least at the intermediate level.
