Our Florida Kayaking Trip started with the drive to King's landing, unloading and preparing the kayaks for the journey ahead. The total trip was eight miles downstream on Rock Springs Run to the Wekiva Marina where some five-and-a-half hours later we docked, unloaded and headed back to pickup our vehicles.

I would highly recommend Rock Springs Run as a good Florida kayaking day trip for the intermediate kayaker. There was plenty of wildlife and the river was constantly winding every which way. We saw quite a few obstacles but only one that required portaging your kayak. This was located about two thirds of the way down the river where the water was low enough to beach the kayaks.
